  Lincare is the industry leader for home respiratory patients and are very knowledgeable in respiratory care for COPD patients!
  They can save you money each month on your respiratory medication if you use their pharmacy especially if you're paying out of pocket for expensive inhalers!!!!
  They still have respiratory therapists on staff who have information on the latest and most up to date therapy for patients!
  Lincare also provides you with the best equipment from the leading respiratory manufacturing companies, not cheap 3rd party vendors!
  OXYGEN PATIENTS: If you're on oxygen with Lincare they have a complementary travel program for their patients and they do NOT limit the number of tanks you can get each month! All you have to do is tell them a couple of weeks before you're going to travel where, when and how long you'll be where you're going and they make the arrangements for the local center to have what you need ready for you. Then when it's time they will come pick it up, even if you're going to be traveling to multiple areas. Lincare will coordinate your equipment for you no matter how many places or how long you're going to be gone! Be sure to choose wisely because some insurance companies like Medicare have changed the way they pay for oxygen and you may not be able to switch companies for 5 years if you become unhappy with who you choose.
  HOME PT/INR: If you're like many of us on blood thinners such as Coumadin, Lincare has a machine your doctor can write for you to use at home to check your PT/INR. It too works great for people who travel!
  
  Not ALL medical equipment companies are the same. One company may decide to save money and purchase brand X while another company may spend a little more to provide better equipment to their customers but they both are reimbursed the same thing no matter what they pay for the equipment.
  Make sure the company you choose accepts your insurance too! A good company will let you know upfront if you have a co-pay or any out of pocket cost before you get your equipment.
  It shouldn't be about who the nurse knows or who feeds the doctor's office coffee, rather who can take care of what "you" need and do it best! Lincare has been around a very long time and although they may not be perfect, they are doing something right!
  Unfortunately your insurance company tells the doctor, hospital and any other provider they pay exactly what they will and won't cover and what requirements to get it covered have to be met before they will pay! Since when did those decisions makers go to medical school? They didn't and they care about their bottom line... make sure who you choose to provide your equipment has a great understanding on what is required to get what you need covered or it can cause insane issues down the line for you and can be extremely frustrating!
  I'm sure there are many good companies- I choose the company that has lead the industry for decades because I trust in their knowledge!
  My advice is to DO your HOMEWORK!!!
